šŸ‘» Have you ever been ghosted?

Marco Bertozzi and I speak to consultants every day and sadly we hear our fair bit of ā€˜horror storiesā€™. A big part of what we try to offer, is that we keep communication flowing, especially when we have a live project, so that no one ever has to feel like theyā€™ve been ā€œghostedā€.

When we set out, we wanted to launch our business where we lived by a core value of integrity along with be smart and kind. And as weā€™ve grown, weā€™ve learnt and any company or person that ghosts another human being is not living up to those values and not somebody that we want deal with.

Itā€™s hard when youā€™re out there filling in 20 applications a week on LinkedIn along with 200+ other applicants, having coffees, connecting with old colleagues, trying everything you can to be in the right place at the right time.
Equally we understand that businesses are busy and there are so many things on the to-do list and many priorities, and an individual consultant or jobseeker is not top of that list, reality is they are not thinking about you 24/7.

Conversely, as a consultant, you are thinking about it 24/7, you have time on your hands and you want to land that perfect role or project that you know you could make a real difference in. Plus you want to keep your mind going and keep relevant and ultimately you need to make some money as the bills donā€™t stop

At TheZoo.London we try to get feedback even when there isnā€™t any feedback because things can change or things can slow down or other things suddenly catapult themselves to the top of the priority list. But this way we can commit to those businesses and the Collective that we will keep them in the loop and updated on both sides.

Lets all try better!

After all we are all human and none of us wanna be ghosted even if it is Halloween! šŸŽƒ
